Determining the proper size implant is best done by the patient trying on sizer implants so they can see the contour change with different volume breast implants. By trying on the breast implants before surgery, patients can participate in choosing the proper size breast implant. This can minimize any confusion about the amount of change the patient is looking for.
In Colorado Springs and Denver, Breast augmentation can be performed together with other procedures. Combined procedures can not only decrease the overall cost of the procedures, it can allow the patient one recovery period which decreases the amount of downtime.
The most common procedure combined with breast augmentation is Abdominoplasty or tummy tuck. Many women, after childbirth or significant weight loss, have sagging skin in the abdominal region as well as decreased breast volume.
The other common procedure done with breast augmentation or breast enlargement at our Colorado Springs practice is Mastopexy or breast tightening. Loss of breast volume, resulting in sagging of the breast can require a Mastopexy, or breast tightening at the same time as breast augmentation in order to provide the patient with the best possible result.
