Breast Augmentation

Are you unhappy with the size of your breasts? Have you lost volume in your breasts and they now sag? No exercises, devices or medications have any lasting effects on the size of your breasts. The only way to increase the size of your breasts is with breast augmentation. Breast augmentation is a safe and reliable way to achieve a more voluptuous shape while improving your self confidence and self esteem.

During your consultation with Dr. Foti, you will have the opportunity to try on implants to help you determine which size is best for you. You can choose between the FDA approved silicone and saline breast implants. The implants are placed behind the breast and chest muscle in most patients in order to achieve the most natural result possible.

Dr. Foti utilizes the latest surgical techniques that minimize discomfort post operatively and allow you to return back to your normal activities in 3-5 days. You can usually return to work in a week.

Breast Lift (Mastopexy)

As time passes, pregnancy, nursing and gravity cause the breasts to lose their size, shape, and feel. The breasts may look and feel old, but they don't have to. A breast lift can shape, lift, firm up and rejuvenate your breasts, resulting in an attractive, more youthful look and sometimes making it appear as though you have had a breast enlargement, without the implants. A breast lift can improve sagging by tightening the skin of the breast. A mastopexy can also decrease the size of the areola, the dark skin around the nipple. If you also desire more volume, a breast implant can be inserted at the same time. The incisions should not be noticeable when wearing a bra, low cut clothing or a bathing suit.

Most patients have minimal discomfort following surgery and are back to their normal activities including work in a week.

Breast Reduction (Reduction Mammaplasty)

Large breasts can cause a variety of medical problems including back pain, neck pain, rashes under the breast, as well as numbness and tingling of the arms and hands.

A breast reduction can significantly reduce these problems. The surgery removes excess breast tissue and skin, reducing the weight of the breast, and lifting them up to a more youthful position.

Because of the medical problems associated with large breasts, the breast augmentation and reduction surgery may be covered by your insurance. The incisions should not be noticeable when wearing low cut clothing and are even hidden behind most bras and bathing suits. Breast reduction can be performed as an outpatient surgery. You can begin showering the next day and are usually back to your normal activities, including work, in one to two weeks.

Breast Reconstruction

For most mastectomy patients, the loss of a breast is a severe emotional loss. Breast reconstruction can help replace the breast. New surgical techniques allows Dr. Foti to reconstruct a breast that is more natural in appearance than ever before. Breast reconstruction is often done at the same time as the mastectomy (breast removal). Some women may choose not to have the breast reconstructed at the same time as the mastectomy. You can still have the breast reconstructed even if it is not done immediately. Methods of reconstruction are immediate implant placement, tissue expansion (stretching the skin), followed by implant placement, and reconstruction using your own tissues (usually from the lower abdomen). Depending on the type of reconstruction performed, you can usually be back to work within a few weeks.
